2014 328i xDrive + Sportline
Been lurking here for a while now....placed an order for July 26th delivery so will post up pictures soon. Thank you all for all the insights!
Had a random question...with the 328i xdrive + sportline (no other packages like executive / premium) I understand you still get the push start - but does the key need to be inserted? Am I correct in that you will have to manually press unlock for the doors to open? Also if anyone could post a picture of the key....that would be much appreciated! Thanks |

You can find the pictures of the key fob here http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=612707.
Or google image search https://www.google.ca/search?q=bmw+key+fob&tbm=isch. You have to press unlock on the fob to open the doors unless you have comfort access (part of premium package). With comfort access, you can leave the fob in your pocket and grab the door handle. Whether or not you have comfort access, you don't have to insert the key to start the car. As long as the key is anywhere inside the car, the start button will work. |

Since ur car is pretty basic. U will need to use the key fob to lock and unlock doors. But u do not need to insert the key into ignition. U just need the key fob inside the vehicle and press start button.
If u had comfort access u can unlock and lock the doors by the handles. And unlock the trunk by pull pad or foot. |
