Strange Increasingly Rough Starts and Idle
Long time no post. Having issues with the car again and need some advice. I'll try to make this as cliff notable as possible
Car: 2006 BMW 325i e90, ~115k miles Symptoms: -First Noted rough start 2 weeks ago (not exactly rough, just rougher than normal) -No rough idle noticed till 1 week ago -The starts and the idling are getting worst and worst fast -Tested Battery, No issues -Added Fuel Cleaner yesterday, awaiting results Most notable symptoms: -Car starts rougher and idles rougher the longer the car sits -Car starts fine if started up only shortly after stopping. -Car starts noticeably rougher and idles rougher if left out in summer heat. -During some of these rough starts and rough idles, it smells like its burning rich My ideas: -Check Air system. Clean out air filter. -Battery issues -CHECKED OUT -Fuel system issues - Maybe a faulty fuel pump :/ ? - Used Techron to see if there is any improvment. Here's a video. Started even worst this morning. Could be worst than I thought. http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2uf6...8#.U6RdOZRdWUA

Leaking fuel injectors are a possibility.
They will eventually deteriorate until you start getting error codes. It is likely one of the injectors. This typically causes rough starts and rough idle in the morning, after the fuel has leaked slowly overnight from the defective injector. |

Check your cylinders man, sounds like what happened with my ride not long ago. You may need a coil possibly replaced. Hope that's it 'cause it can be quite expensive beyond that if you're not doing the work yourself.
