pre LCI e90 BMW to LCI e91 trunk conversion for $30!!
Ok guys,
The OEM heads will hate the idea but personally I was really happy with how it turned out. I couldn't spend 1000 on buying the trunk, lights, coding, painting & fitting but, I just thought this was a simpler solution. I'm not too sure if anybody has done this but its just an idea for a lower budget mod. every thing that i used was bought on eBay. *Red Light Tint, *Gloss black vinyl. *Knife less vinyl tape (Or just an x-acto knife) Thats it! I did this over a few weeks, waiting for eBay items to come is a pain in the ass, especially if there from China. OK so here is my car before i tinted the tail lights with the red tint. Now here is the car tinted with out the cutouts. Now you may have to layer the tint if it's the cheap stuff so make sure u buy the best if you want to avoid colour difference. Now this is the last step and the most difficult. to avoid any bubbles make sure to buy the bubble free gloss black vinyl. just take the strip and bring it across the whole top panel of the trunk. PS mine has been redone as the cut's on the lights were off :P there you go. just thought id give you and idea for a cheap mod! sorry if its in the wrong tread! I can! It actually doesn't look too bad for how cheap it was. Good job

No one noticed that when he colored the upper part of the light the car grew a dual exhaust tip?

You can see the edge of the light through the vinyl so i doubled it up. It's not photoshopped LOL. I have a an f10 now, i just thought i'd put up the pics as i found them on my phone today and thought someone else might find them interesting.

Ya that would be a good idea too but its a bit more costly and i just wanted to give the car a bit of an edge when i was selling it. you'd need alot of glossifier tho.
