some steering wheel buttons don't work

got the car a couple months ago, came with jb4. The steering wheels buttons to decrease volume and channel down don't work, everything else does on the wheel. In the past the airbag went off so I thought it was the clock spring. Put in a new clock oem clock spring and still, same two buttons don't work. Wires appeared in good shape? Should I buy the buttons next? What could this be?

Did you test the wires to see if they are getting current? That would probably tell you if it is the actual buttons or if you need to further investigate the wiring.
