Charging Malfunction

Figured maybe I could get some tips on how to diagnose this. Here are the issues I've encountered.

Car: 2011 335i xDrive w/ 48k. Battery was replaced in the last year.

1. Sometimes when I start car it pops up saying the car has drained some battery with that upside down yellow T.

2. Recently when I run the AC max while like idling i'd get a thing that popped up saying "Charging Malfunction".

3. I've seen the headlights flicker and the AC dip.

Turns out the alternator cable was frayed by the point on the left side of the engine. Problem resolved hopefully now.
