ISTA quick help
Hey team - was looking and hooking my laptop w ISTA up to my GTS and I got this dialog alert.
I have zero coding and ISTA experience and wondering if anyone can explain. |

I'm far from an expert but I've seen that message for a couple reasons.
Make sure all computer settings for the COM port you are using are correct. You can Google an ISTA setup video that will show what COM port number and other settings to use and configure in device manager. I've also seen that if I take too long to get ISTA fired up after turning the ignition to ON and the car or ISTA somewhat times out. For whatever reason I have to plug in the OBD2 end of my cable and then immediately attempt to connect to ISTA. If I wait even a few extra seconds it seems to not like to always connect. This means you have no connection to the vehicle. At the top of ISTA, to the RIGHT of the home icon click that icon and see if you see your car pop up there. It’d say the enet IP address and your cars vin. If you see it double click your car there in that list and it’ll scan
