E93 only available as manual for now???
My salesman said i could order(one of the 1st spots at my dealer) an e93 vert with dct at week 19(may 5) production. Now he's saying he can only order the vert in manual transmission right now and he will let me know as soon as dct is available on the vert. Does anyone know what he's talking about? and when ill be able to actually order this thing?

My dealer says the same -- and I'm also #1 in line (right after the owner) for the e93 M3 convertible. My dealer said the M-DCT transmission won't be offered in the convertible until June production ramp-up (even though it was introduced in the convertible at Geneva). Initial e93 M3 convertibles will have the 6-speed manual. Really sucks, because waiting for M-DCT will put me just at the end of Summer for delivery.
On the plus side, from what I've read on this forum, the transmission is well worth the wait. |
