Going from 80mm to 75mm MPE exhaust. Is it ok?

Hi all,

I want to try to fit my MPE exhaust from 228 xdrive (originally made for 328/428) onto my 230.

LCI cars now have 80mm piping instead of 75mm. I know that 5mm wont cause any decrease in backpressure flow or any other negative side effects, but I figured I would ask anyway.

My plan is to try to fit the MPE exhaust to see if it fits (the part numbers are different for LCI 2ers) and then have an exhaust shop weld an adapter from 80mm to 75mm.

These motors don't push too much air so I am assuming 5mm wont cause any negative side effects?

Any insights welcome.

Thank You
