Injector question: is there a recall?

Is there a recall on injectors? I have an 07 e93 with 58k. I took the car for an oil change and they came back with a host of issues. One of them said it needed all new injectors at a cost of 2295. Im not getting any CEL codes or anything. I thought I read somewhere that there a recall with a 10 year 100k mile or was that for the HPFP?

It's not a recall really but covered under warranty. What is their reasons behind all these "host with issues"? Is there any solid documentation? Even if you took it to a dealer for a driveabktilty issus, they would charge for diagnosis time...

Putting your VIN in http://www.bmw-rp.com/ should show if you're included in the warranty extension.

Not sure what your saying? I took the car to the BMW stealership for an oil change and problem with the 1/2 engine light on. They determined I had some cracked vacuum lines. Which they replaced at a cost of over $500. They then handed me a sheet called an SPG Repair Estimate on it said Injector's (6) BM13-53-9-616-079 5hrs labor at cost of each injector is $345.99 so the cost is 2075.94 + Decoupling Element $65. I didnt ask them to do any other repairs nor did they charge me any other diagnostic fees. I think what happened when they ran the diag to see what the engine CEL codes were the ecu reported back on all this other shit.

One of the banks was already changed out at 28K. I asked them if there were any recalls on my car and the only thing he said was an airbag which there waiting on parts.

bummer my car doesn't qualify.

Your vehicle is not involved in any of these programs. Please contact Customer Relations at 1-800-598-4269 should you have questions.

The regular warranty on my car is out years ago. Are you saying they extended the warranty on Injectors?

I think this is a CRIME what there doing.

My stealership wants $1000 for walnut blasting $1200 for OFHG. I can get them both done for $800 at a good indy what a bunch of crooks!

Sorry about your issues. If you have a trusted indy mechanic, stick with him. They take the time to do it right.

I just dont trust my stealership. The only real issues I have right now are OFHG and it needs a wallnut blasting. I can get them both done for about $800 from an indy but the other issues I just dont know. I dont trust them. If there was a recall or something I would insist they fix it. But it doesn't appear to be a recall on my car for the injectors. :-(

So I just punched in my VIN and the fuel injector recall link along with footwell rest recall showed up. I'm getting an oil change this week and will address the recalls. Is this something BMW will replace on their own?

Yeah your dealership should fix. You should call ahead first. Be prpaird to pay 127 for an oil change lol. Bring it in for the recalls and get your oil changed at an Indy then take your significant other out to dinner.

They aren't recalls, they are extended warranties. Dealer won't replace without a failure.
