Quick VT question

Hi,

I'm 2 years and 2 months in to a 4 year PCP. without searching and waiting for BMWFS (who just dropped my call) can I VT my car now?

I'm due to collect my new car next week so leaving it a bit late but if I can VT the dealer should be able to re-jig the figures?

Thanks
Matt

Impossible to say without figures but unlikely unless you put down a big deposit.
Broadly speaking you need to have paid over 50% of the total payments, your paperwork should also say I think

In short - no.

Unless of course you put a massive deposit down on it?

Generally, the VT point is around month 37/38

Why not part ex or sell privately? Out of all options on a PCP surely VT has to be the last resort??

Thanks for the replies.

I'm currently part-ex-ing but as i'm in neg eq. I was looking at other options. Won't sell private as the dealer has already given more than trade in

I put a big deposit on mine and VT was still quite some time after you are currently at.

Doesn't VT shaft your credit rating ?

I've just done a VT (in fact they took my old car away about 2 hrs ago!) and I did it at month 34 of 48. Had to pay £148 early termination fee.

VT is available after you've paid half the total due including interest.

With HP this is half your payments. With PCP, the GFV skews things meaning the VT point comes later
