Congrats!! mine was completed on 2/16. not sure if it has left port or not, I don't think that the updates are accurate at all.

call 800-831-1117 and talk to a customer representative that will happily give you an accurate update of your car's progress. you will need your production order number or VIN. good luck!

Hey guys. I ordered my 335i on 2/11 from a dealer allocation and went into production on 2/14. I just called the 800 and is today is painting day. The beast will be ready as of tomorrow. I check the WW site and the next boat that comes leaves bimmerheaven on 2/29 and then at least 19 days before it gets to Charleston since in in FL.

Can't wait....

The 335i is done and the 800 says that the car is currently being transported to the port of exit.

Question, I was checking on WW and the next ship leaves on the 29th... Do you guys know if WW is the only carrier that BMW uses? How long does it take from Munich to Bremerhaven?

There's another site all about tracking your BMW in production, but its from 2008 I think, so some information may be out of date. It listed the shipping lines BMW uses. WW is the main one, and there are 2 or 3 more that are subsidiaries of WW it seems. I don't know if they'd show up tracking your VIN on WW's site. My car is on a WW ship right now so I was able to track it there.

My car finished production on 2/9, and from what I could tell from the 800 number is that it left Munich on 2/10. It wound up on WW leaving Bremerhaven on 2/15. I didn't think it was going to make that ship so I was quite surprised when the WW site said it made it on (next ship was one week later).

Mine completed production on 2/16 and the phone message still says "vehicle released to carrier and is awaiting transport to port." I hope that this is just a delay of information

I also remember when I ordered in 2008 that my VIN never showed up on the WW site.

call the 800# and ask to speak to a customer rep. i have found the automated status is often wrong.

Called the 800 this morning and it said that the car was "being transferred to the port of exit"

Actually, now that I think about it I'm not sure if this was this morning or last night.... After you call the 800 every 3 or 4 hours hoping for a change, things start to mix up... Days, calls, website, ww, hopes, dreams.

2004 330xi and 2008 535i were both sitting at the dealer waiting to be purchased.... This ordering thing is nuts!!!!!

so when i searched on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site, it only sails from Bremerhaven to Port Hueneme every ~14 days? here is the schedule over the next month:

Our VIN and production numbers are both only a few numbers apart and the start dates are the same.

Just called and my car is "complete" and waiting to head to the port.

I bet yours is the same.

My car has been at this status since 2/16. I still call about 6 times per day although I know it will not change LOL!

if i could magically get on the Tortugas tomorrow that would be amazing, i highly doubt it. i also read that West Coast cars often ride on NYK lines, but i can't get any information on their website, i like the W&W site better.

i think it depends on where you are going? my car is destined for Cali since my dealership is in Phoenix, AZ.
