Exactly! And for the record, I was looking for a detailed, intelligent response like those (as an example) from Nuke, Ghunger, and Bilbarstow, etc. who mentioned things like reacted load and torsion. It's really easy to reply with a simple answer and think that the question was simple - but here I wanted a detailed answer to what really was a detailed question. Sorry, any answer that includes "reacted load" or "torsion" is probably not common sense. Maybe it is "automotive common sense" for those of you in the auto industry, but some of us are in other businesses.

Who do you think is more helpful? Someone who says the car is "on a slight incline c'mon common sense" or someone who posts a detailed response like Ghunger?

Isn't the concern more on continued chassis flex/stress/pressure than suspension components...concern if any, I mean...

I would garage it no questions. Nothing to do with any scientificly accurate reasonk, just a balance of probability that leaving the car on the street exposes it to vandalism (as you are concerned about) and also to weather, tree sap and other paint damage, as well as accident...

Park you car inside, the grade difference won't matter at all.

To most this is common sense, to some its a legitimate question.

I think he got bashed as this was the silliest thread topic in a long time, like almost so silly he's joking with us

I park my car on the side of the street, with the right side tires in the gutter and the left side tires in the street.

Can I park my car like this or will it cause suspension damage?

you shouldnt worry about it. it seems to me that the weight of the car is still evenly spread. if you are parked tilted and sideways in a more than 25 degree angle plane then you may have a little concern. but i cant think of a situation where you would have to park like that everyday. i know it bothers you but you should be able to emotionally handle it.

park your car inside the garage. about two weeks ago i saw a row of cars parked in the street with smashed windows. intriguingly annoying to see.

also to avoid random accidents. my friend's RAV 4 parked on the street got hit by a sleepy driver 2 years ago. just got dented but the stupid body shop removed both headlights and when they put the new ones they werent properly aligned. caused him too many hassles.

I have to say I chuckled when i saw a picture of his dilemna. I didn't notice the step and was trying to figure out what exactly was wrong with the picture.

Kudos on measuring the step as well

I'm surprised the name of this thread isn't. " If I drive my car, will I wreck the suspension"
