CCC to CIC retrofit coding
Hi there,
So Iīve made a CCC Business to CIC Professional retrofit at first I couldnīt find CIC in the ECUīs list but after some research and tips i got it (Removing the 606 from the following modules (CAS and NFRM) and adding the 609 to the same modules (CAS and NFRM) using FA_WRITE worked. Now Iīm having the following issues: 1- Bluetooth doesnīt work (I believe must be coded but no idea how) 2- In Service status I have a few symbols with no text 3- Navigation is greyed out (Must be coded to VIN and most likely firmware updated to be able to use the patch, I guess my version is C08) Iīm quite new to all this, did some research in Internet and followed the procedures described in some tutorials. Step by step tutorial/manual would be awsome but any help would be great. Thanks. P.S. - Sry for any bad english, not my native language. |

mmm, I'm about to do this swap, and I read the guide in the DIY section and watch 2-3 youtube videos, and I was under the impression that was a plug and play.
swap the screen, headunit, few wiring and that's it. Even the old CCC center console knob is working with the CIC. I might be wrong, I did not start the retrofit yet. |

Itīs almost swap regarding "hardware", u will just have to change the plug for CID(Display Unit) because it has anopther socket and new Video cable from Head Unit to CID.
Iīll leave here later the pinout for the green plug (Power Supply, GND and CAN L, CAN H) for display |

I will for sure do that and in the end (When everything is properly working) Iīll do a DIY regarding this specific retrofit CCC Business to CIC Professional. Theres plenty threads in this Forum regarding CCC to CIC retrofit but no step by step or properly documented (Regarding issues you may have and coding steps). It will take some time since I have to order an ICOM Next (Because in my particulary case I must upgrade my CIC Headunit to the lastest Firmware -> C1A in order to be able to Patch it) and make myself a Power Source for coding (From an Old HP Server Rack, saw some tutorials).

Go to the coding subforum to learn about coding.
Default coding uses the values in the VO to code modules to be read and coded to the module you are selecting in Ncsexpert from the VO to the module you select. So what is the VO it's the set values loaded into the cars CAS and FRM modules that has the cars options. (there are redundent sets of values for the VO stored in the CAS and FRM modules so there are back up copy's if one of those fails. So to default code anything the VO has to be changed to that if reflects the physical modules that are in the car. The other method of coding is to create a man file for that module then code it in from the file. Hi there, Iīve finally received my last item Icom B today, I would like to try to update my CIC head unit tomorrow, I just have a few questions and perhaps someone there could help me. I saw a tutorial here and I would like to confirm if is it ok to follow.
Option 1 0 - Move Car Key to position 2 1 - Connect ICOM B (MOST) to any available MOST (fiber optic) Connector. Connect the USB cable between it and the ICOM module. 2 - Connect OBD connector to ICOM Module. 3 - Connect ICOM to Laptop via Ethernet cable. 4 - Start up Itool Radar and Reserve the ICOM slot. (You'll need to search for ITool Radar). 5 - I usually use the EasyConnect after ITOOL to select the MOST bus ASYNC setting and LOCK Icom. 6 - Start up WINKFP and select comfort mode 7 - Select Update ZUSB 8 - From the list, select CI63F1 first and click OK. 9 - Enter VIN 10 - Click DONE. 11 - In Next window, Click PROG-ZUSB. 12 - Blue bar will start - This step will take about 35-40 minutes. CIC screen will turn black and cic fan will be blowing at full speed. 13 -Select Update ZUSB again 14 - From the list, select CI62F1 and click OK. 15- Enter VIN 16 - Click DONE. 17 - In Next window, Click PROG-ZUSB. 18 - This step takes about 7-10 minutes. 19 - Lastly Select Update ZUSB again 20 - From the list, select CIA0F1 and click OK. 21 - Enter VIN 22 - Click DONE. 23 - In Next window, Click PROG-ZUSB. 24 - Screen might come up with BMW symbol and bootloader mode. 25 - This step takes about 45 minutes And code default cic Are all the steps ok or am I missing something? Thanks in advance! Last edited by brlight; 05-08-2024 at 03:39 PM.. |
