Time for plugs and coils? M550
Howdy everyone
My 2018 M550 has 61K miles. I opted ont to extend the CPO so now I'm flying solo. Over the summer, I had an episode of poor running which the dealer later attributed to the original spark plugs still being in service. They were not able to replace them under CPO because the code had conveniently cleared itself. They said that the coils had been replaced with an updated design. This was at least 30K miles ago. I bought a set of Dinan coils and NGK 97506 plugs ("one step cooler"). Should I just go ahead and install these parts now, or wait 'til spring and put more miles on what I have now? Considering getting BM3 at some point in the future but I would probably use the mildest version and get it mostly to lower the coolant temp. Thank you for any advice. Best regards, GD |

I have an 2018 as well and bought the plugs from FCPEuro and will be putting them in shortly. Currently at 63k miles and all the fluids are going to be done as well at the same time.

Great minds think alike LOL
I did all my fluids over the summer. I have heard that some folks have gotten 100K out of their plugs but I will probably change them before winter sets in.
