Trying to say that you can look at the inner most halo, of the two angel eyes on each side, from outside of the car and see the bottom of the Halo where it comes out of the housing inside. If you have PMB's the very bottom of the Halo (before it forms the ring) will light up well even in sunlight. So if you have installed PMBs but have not checked for the halo defect since, you can tell if you have it without having to tear the car apart or having to wait till night time or a dark garage etc. (The defect will block/severely reduce the light before it can get to the halo.)

yeah me too...even with stock angel eyes lighting, 1 ring is definitely brighter than the other 3.

i suggest you put everything back to oem and take your car back to the dealer.
I'm trying to replace the AE bulbs,(passenger side) but I can't remove the SOCKET that holds it. Can you tell me the screw size and tools you use to remove the socket that holds the Angel Eyes in place? Please help.

Yeah! This is a great example of using the function though! WOW! Three years later though... At least it's still a topic about the same basic car. What's next for the 3 series after the E90 designation?

I can't believe you've done this.
