So, my Weather App works fine; gives me all the data for a week, by day. Issue is, when I pull up the radar map, it shows no weather (just streets).

The Google 'Weather App' shows no radar map...so what is the name of the app you use, and on Android or Apple? That info would help you get more appropriate responses.

I never said 'Google' and didn't know I had to be specific about the only Weather Map in my car? You pull up the Traffic Map, then toggle right to Themes; choose Weather. It shows streets, but never the weather precipitation.

I tried this in my M235 and I too, didn’t get any real weather indicators on the iDrive

You could have been using Apple app or Android phone apps or the car app, which prompted the need for greater specificity to get apropos responses.
I chose Google 'weather app' because that was what came up first which searching for "the weather app" as stated in OP.
