dinan has to realize that there is a huge market ready to buy the performance mods today, seems to me that if they wait too long, they will miss a good portion of us going with another company...... bad business if you ask me......

A diff swap in my 330ci from 2.93 to a 3.46 was awsome. I am thinking of going from the stock 3.15 to a 3.64 from an auto 330i

Diff = differential. Have you maybe heard the term 'Limited Slip Diff' or 'Positraction Rear End'? A differential is the clever device that transmits power and torque to the wheels even though they may be rotating at different speeds. In a rear wheel drive car/truck, it is that big circular object in the center of the rear axle Here - knock yourself out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Differe...28mechanics%29

i read through most of these pages and did not see a single person bring up the argument. of the possible tuning capabilitys tuners will have with this engine due to the valvetronic...witch is a big advantage over older bmw engines...also when a stand alone comes out that will suport this engine.(i am sure there is one but not affordable)you will be able to run with out a throdle body. and have strait stacks coming off the side of the block...

upsolute is legit made my 325 a 328 ...I'd bet on it
not to repeat this post but I did do it
just last weekend. I swear it made my 325 a 328.. can't prove it but I drive it now and I am thrilled and before I was a bit bored... kind of bummed BMW wouldn't reprogram with the 2007 328 program since it's the same car as my 2006 325 3 liters 6 cyl.. ah well UPsolute fixed that for me. I was sooo bummed b/c I couldn't seem to find anyone to chip it and Dinan told me they were going to have something 3 months ago and that they would email me.. yeah right well it never happened.. I took the risk with upsolute and I am very happy.. good luck |

exactly
all I was hoping for really was to be brought up to the 2007 spec of 230 HP and 200 torque. I simply have a drop in KN filter (didn't notice a whole lot of difference) and now the chip tuning and it's quite a difference.. it sails through the tach nearing red line and feels like it's hauling ass the whole way onto the highway..(maybe it's now 235HP not sure) it never shifts too early and feels much more opened up. Before it felt a little choked or restrained and now it doesn't I'm sorry I wish I had a dyno for you - I have never chipped a car in my life but with the 325 I did feel a little cheated with the 2007 being more hp and more torque due only to the program --so instead of buying another car I went with Upsolute and I seriously love the car now I no longer dream of trading it (well ok for a 335 someday but not for a while) I had the ability to drive it there to NC cuz I was a little concerned about mailing the unit but after seeing how it was done it wasn't so bad and the guys are legit and trustworthy. Company is out of Austria the name is just not as known here but I would do it again in a heartbeat. |

+1. no manufacturer to date has yet been able to come up with ANY substantial evidence hence this dates back to 2005.

hey just dropping the info off I don't really care to prove it or if anyone believes me I didn't believe any of it myself when I read those old posts about chipping a 2006 325i.....or for that matter a 330i what would I possibly gain by dynoing my car at my expense? some respect? heh heh that's ok somehow I'll deal all I can tell you is for The $350+ I paid I am much happier with the car.. it was a significant change in how the car feels ... pick up is much better and engine doesn't feel choked like it did before. Gas mileage is up 1MPG.. not a ton but it's definitely changed in my mileage display... forever it was at 21.4 and now it's forever at 22.4. I wanted to trade the car and now I don't want to.. ... in 17 years I've had 14 cars... soo I usually look for any reason to change them but with the chip update I'm pretty happy.. Upsolute seems to have plenty of business so they probably aren't worried about dynoing my car in Miami when they are headquartered in Austria. not a well known name but so far so good.. I would like someone else to chip their 3 series E90 -and to chime in if they had the same level of satisfaction as me. would like to hear how others like it etc. |

My 2 cents. Upsolute has beena round a long time. At least since 2002 when I looked into chipping the wife's S60.
They have a big following in Europe where there are a lot of diesel turbo engines floating around.
