More clean power is always better isn't it? Metal cones should sound tighter and last longer? $875 is actually a pretty good deal for what you get IMO. Can you buy 10 decent speakers and a 300 watt digital amp for less?

I have got the Premium Hifi too, and the Music DSP setting is weird.
First of all I thought it sounded fantastic, it really fills the car with sound, but: 1) 70% of the sound comes from the rear speakers, making it sound behind the driver - I fade 3 to the front 2) It seems to play around with the frequencies and when processing them makes it sound a bit 'jumpy' instead - this is hard to explain, but it doesn't sound perfect. I have now just set the EQ to suit and I have deselected Music and Cinema, which seems a shame when I have spent a lot of $$$$. Overall I love the Hifi setup and I had spent around $2k on my last car, and I prefer the setup in my 135i

Re-tune your tunes
Quote:
You can tweak individual songs in your computer, and the next time you sync, they'll be updated on your iPod -- re-equalized and (if you want) made louder or softer in relation to other tracks. Highlight an individual tune, right-click, choose "Info" from the pull-down, then click on "Options." That will pull up a window where you can customize the EQ and set the volume for that one song only. This can solve any great/not-so-great variability between tracks when you play them in your Bimmer. (PS: To adjust individual tracks' volume, you have to uncheck "Sound Check" in your iTunes Playback preferences.)
