It may vary between exhausts, but as the ASD is fake INTAKE / induction noise not exhaust noise I find it compliements the sounds, to my ear anyway.

I did a bit of experimenting myself, i've got the full milltek with OPF replace with CAT and I much prefer it with ASD on as it give you that instant link between throttle move and sound change that you don't get with a turbo exhaust note due to lag.
I can hear my exhaust with windows shut but also the turbo spooling and induction noise which I like - though I keep the windows open all the time at the moment so I can hear what the exhaust sound like

To be honest I did like the ASD and didn’t think I’d like it turned off but again it’s a personal preference.

Now back on track - those pops on the other hand.....

Bit more playing around with BM3..

Turned off burbles in sport (my everyday mode) and turned them up to 11 in sport+

This isn't the classic Spinal Tap reference to "11" if you're old enough....

The burbles can bet set up to aggressiveness 12. Standard is 6. So 11 isn't quite the top setting. Also raised maximum speed to 150kmh from 80 so you can enjoy them at motorway speed in tunnels etc.

Holy cow. If you're going to do burbles, better to have a full on artillery volley of back fires than the standard wet farts.

Seriously i don't want to try this in a multistorey carpark, people will crap themselves and my wife might divorce me

Unfortunately you can't disable the burbles by coding. You'll need to get a flash tune if you want to disable the burbles. I'm using Ecutek but there are other flash tuners available (ie. Bootmod3).

I'll try, but it won't be till the weekend.

Have a look in map config and play around with the settings. Try aggressiveness at 12! go for it!

Ive come from M2 coded out the ASD and loved it... got my new M2C coded out ASD ..... 30 min later coded ASD back on 😂😂
Advantage of M2C..... 100-200 in under 8sec with just a MHD tune and can adjust the burbles👍🏻

If you only turn up the burbles in sport + mode then sport will stat OE.

I turned then down to zero in sport (duration and aggressiveness = zero) and aggressiveness up to 11 in sport + and duration to 2 seconds I think, so I can choose between then when driving.

The max burble speed I think is set to 80kph (50mph) I turned that up to 150 odd in sport + too.

They are proper backfires, varies with load / gear etc, loudest i find is second, give it 2/3 gas until boost picks up then come off the gas - kaboom! Very childish

I really doubt it, the amount of fuel is tiny and it burns as soon as it hits the hot exhaust manifold before the turbo let alone the CAT so no un-burned fuel is reaching he CAT.
