I know fairfax county well. I used to live right next to Reston Town Center. And back then it was the richest county in the US by average income of about $350k (I believe) The only problem was they had the local police going to bars and busting people for being drunk in a bar! It was a huge outcry few years back there... I guess they stopped doing it after that... M5 will be same or more expensive if you get it from Germany, because the car taxes will be applied to any self-imported cars as well. Best regards, Jussi |

Still i was surprised to see so many nice cars when i was in Europe. Especially Germany. Yeah America you can make money regarless of class. Although America is becoming really corrupt now. You have FDA, EPA trying to regulate your life. It's a free country for Gods sake. |

They regulate our lives, so that we have one. Can you imagine all of the pollution that was going around in the early 90's if we had the same amount all the way till today, we wouldn't even be able to see a mile down the road.
However, its okay for auto enthusiast to run less restrictive exhausts, because they aren't so abundant. |

Man, you guys in the US and the UK don't know how lucky you are... cars and running them in Ireland is an expensive business.
I bought a 2 year old base model E46 M3 about 2 years ago and I paid $78k for the car, a standard E46 M3 new in Ireland is $125k. I'm 27, (25 at the time of owning the M3) and the insurance was $3700k per year and the road tax here is $1635 per year!! My family live in Tampa and my father bought an E60 M5 earlier this year (sweet car, my wife and I took it on a road trip from Tampa to Miami up to Orlando and back to Tampa earlier this year). He paid $2k less than I paid for my new 330d here in Ireland. $94k v's $96k A new E60 M5 in Ireland is $200k + options. Don't even get me started on the difference in the price of Gas!! |

I think when or if I decide to sell the ///M3 that I'll ship it over to Europe or Dubai and sell it for the same price I bought it for. I didn't know the prices and taxes where so high, I feel very fortunate to own one.
If you working here in the US could you buy an ///M3 and ship it to the country your living in??? |

But you have to remember that the base options differ somewhat. Though not that much on the M5. Best regards, Jussi |
