I just installed DPs and have the same thing...mainly upon decelerating and it is waste gate rattle. I believe you can tighten them up but that's only a temporary fix and I think it's really up to your dealer on what they replace under warranty. My local dealer is mod friendly when it comes to warrantying known issues like the HPFP and waste gate rattling.

Tune can help to a point. It's mechanical wear and eventually you'll have to replace them.

Only if you can't stand the rattle or you're looking to get the dealer to replace the turbos.

It shouldn't...it's a know issue just like the HPFP but it's really up to the dealership. I'm taking my car in next week to let the service manager listen to it and I have DPs, Procede, AA charge pipe/BOV, AA FMIC and my service manager is fine with it. He said if they're rattling bad they'll replace them...

Agreed. Whether the manager is cool with it or not. If it goes up to BMW NA for some reason and one of the regional guys shows up, there's a good chance they'll void the warranty. Up to you if it's worth the risk. I'm with derrick though. I've taken my car in fully modded several times and I'm good friends with the techs that work on my car. I'm willing to accept the risk.

They do not void the warranty according to the Magnuson Moss act but the dealership will very often 'bully' you into thinking it does. Most people don't have the inclination or resources to fight it but catless DPs do NOT void your warranty.

If ur turbos fail BMW can and will blame any mods that you have done that can be a possible cause for turbo failure. But if its only WG rattle is reason for turbo replacement they might do it.......... I wouldn't take the chance unless you have the $$$ laying around and if you do upgrade.
