Yeah really... When are they going to learn that they have to consult with you first before doing stuff like this! I wonder if it can be retro'd....

Every year their is something new. What would really suck is if they didn't offer anything new each year.

If BMW screwed you with this, youve been getting screwed your life by every toy manufacturer, computer maker, cell phone, maker, VCR and DVD maker, etc. Things always improve. You cant wait to purchase for ever waiting for the next big thing.

There is always going to be technology advances. Enjoy your car and don't worry about the next best thing. And this feature is nice, but not a must have in my opinion....rather get an LSD or more HP

TBH...if BMW doesn't do this...how are they going to lure more customers buying new cars...or trading in...etc etc....don't forget that its all about profit....
yea...dun get 2009 tho....seems like 2010 there's going to be something else...

oh wait...might as well wait till the last model year of E9x...then there's going to be a new platform....hmmm...its a never ending cycle....

Sounds about right...

The only folks that I have sympathy for are the 330 owners who didn't know the 335s were coming...

Somebody paid a premium for a 330 just days before they learned of the 335s and THAT could be frustrating. Especially when you figure that the dealership isn't going to be saying anything cause they have 330s they have to sell...

Or it could be like me with my Moto-Guzzi. I know there's a new model coming, so I can go score a hell of a deal on a 2007... Win-Win.

If 2006 first year of BMW is exactly the same as the 2010 ones...what's the point of getting the new ones except newer leather wrapped....every vehicle manufacturer does this....nothing surprise and no need to be so worked up on it....

By the time this feature has come out, I will have participated in a BMW CCA HPDE, attended a full autocross season, gone on two long road trips, and driven an estimated 18,000 wonderful miles on my E90.

As others have said, you can wait, and wait, and wait, and never get the car, because something new is always coming out, or you can get what's available at the time, and simply enjoy the hell out of it until it's time for the next purchase. The choice is yours.

That's why lease isn't such a bad idea for the enthusiast. Don't claim that it is for everyone, because it is not. But you stay fresh on innovation, and changes are the nature of the business - like it or not.

I understand how you feel, but this new feature is nothing to feel bad about. You'll get over it.

Yeah, BMW is the reason you don't make enough money to afford a new car every year.

April 8th for the X6. '09 for the 3 series. But I know where you are coming from. My car is on the way as well, and I am now agonizing over whether to cancel and wait for the '09's.
