That blows. If I was that close
To the end of the month I'd wait a day or two to see new programs, worst case you're locked in at previous month.

This is awesome. I'm doing ED in early July, and I'll be getting the 1k credit. Lucky break on the allowance.

So I made a deal with my dealer back in early April and the car won't be delivered until August. I just stopped by to inquire about the Incentive and he said "he anticipated the incentives when he gave me the price" and so he won't be able to apply it on top of my price. That doesn't sound right to me, unless when he quoted me my original price he said that it would include all future incentives, right? If I cancel my order (production date isn't until Late June) I should get my deposit back, correct? So annoyed.

You will get your deposit back, and I would suggest you do so as his answer is BS.

You probably need to resubmit a credit app so that you get a 90 day lock on May incentives. Either way, any sales advisor that tells you he anticipated incentives when factoring out the deal is full of crap. He has no idea what rates/incentives you will choose when you sign the paperwork upon delivery, so whatever negotiated price on the car he agreed upon is what he should honor. That sales person doesn't know what incentives will come down the pipeline. Could have been nothing.

+1 It's obvious this dealer is full of $h1t and you should find another one that wont blatantly lie to you in your face. He will prob try to apply this $1000 credit to your negotiated price and basically add $1000 gross to the deal. That's more money directly into his pocket.

The thing is, the price I will be getting is still lower than any other dealer offered me, even if the 1K is added to the other dealers' offers. I'm just super annoyed because my order still has the incorrect tires applied to it (as detailed in another thread) and when I made the deal he originally told me the production date would be much sooner. Either way, I'm not accepting the car if it shows up with the All-Season tires. For a while I was considering cancelling and just pushing to get a 2015, but because of the big discount decided against it. Now, with this shadiness and lack of extra 1K off, I may cancel. Ugh, this is such a hassle.

There are many reputable people in California who will give you an honest price without all of this. Where in California are you? I know some areas are not as deal friendly...

Ugh.. that tire issue, I had to deal with that also. Hope you get that in writing that you will not accept the car if it does show up with it! If any mention of tires shows up in the vehicle inquiry report than you will definitely get all-season tires, so if I were you I would get it taken care of now unless you are OK with waiting for so long just to know that it is all but certain that you will be rejecting it.

I'm in SoCal, and when I emailed all the dealers in the area in March, the lowest offer, other than the current dealer, was 2K off MSRP.

My dealer showed me the Order Screen today and actually did try deleting the All-Season Option, and it gave an error that said:

"Your order requests have been Rejected.

Reason: Order Not Feasible: Option 258 Invalid, Reason: 00522 -SUBSIDIARY RULE ERROR: OPTION EXCLUSION - A0422080
Order Not Feasible: Option 2PG Invalid, Reason: 00522 - SUBSIDIARY RULE ERROR: OPTION EXCLUSION -A0422080 "

So I did see it with my own eyes. He said he'll keep trying, then check with Area Rep in a week. Well before Production Starts. If that doesn't go through I will cancel my order. And then just wait for 2015 and start all over again with another dealer.... Or just keep my current car LOL.

Is he trying to *add* 2PG??... Because that is the default option ("mixed" summer tires) it won't show on the vehicle inquiry report and probably would not let him add it. All you need to do to make sure you are not getting all season RFT's is to confirm that 2TR does NOT show up on the vehicle inquiry report.

No, I saw the form and it was a box where you just select (highlight) the options you want. On there, it had all my correct package options, and 2TR selected. He deselected 2TR option (all-seasons) and when submitting it, it showed on my vehicle specifications all my correct options along with "258 Runflat Tires." Which was weird because that wasn't selected anywhere else. And then it also showed the error. It's almost as if the system is preselecting the "258" option, and so when he tried to deselect All Seasons, it wouldn't work because obviously "258" conflicts with both deselecting 2TR, and it conflicts with having 2PG. It did seem a bit wonky to me.

This is the "Order Modification Form" that results from him simply deselecting "2TR"

Maybe a Dealer on the Forum can help me out here with instructing my dealer what is going on here? Is there somewhere else that he has to go to deselect Run Flat Tires?

Maybe 840 was removed with the selection of 2TR?

Once they add all-seasons, it seems to taint the order, and there's no way to recover back to summer tires. Only way to fix is to start anew. Just have him create an entirely new order, and make sure he doesn't touch any option related to wheels or tires at any point.

If there is no tire/wheel option listed on the order, that means you get the default option of mixed summer tires.

It seems dealers feel the need to tweak the tire option when creating orders, which only creates problems.

Ok, I emailed him to create an entirely new order. I'll see what happens. If I don't get a correct Vehicle Inquiry Report I will be canceling this order and just waiting until 2015 MYs can be ordered.

I am curious: does one need to resubmit a credit app again for May if one has already submitted and locked in March's rate?
