Shiny grease on leather dashboard. What to do?

So I took my car back from the dealership this morning, and for some reason they felt compelled to "detail" the interior. So they applied whatever greasy chemical they have on the leather, steering wheel, and dashboard. My worst fear came true and the matte look is gone especially the dashboard!

Any way to restore the matte look?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks everyone!!

Hm probably just wipe it with a damp microfiber towel and buff with a dry one. I'd hate if they did something like that without asking. I always ask for them to skip the wash if the time of year is conducive to hand washing.

Some pics might help. Perhaps try diluted Simple Green.

You could also try some denatured alcohol diluted with water. That should restore the matte finish but try on a test spot first.

Then go bitch slap the idiots in the car wash bay and tell them it isn't 1984!

Before you try any of these homegrown approaches, call them to see what they used and approach accordingly. Their good hearted error is your screw up if you use the wrong approach to fixing.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I am taking it to a local pro detailer to take a look at it. Hopefully they can restore it back to its original shape

Diluted APC probably would have done the trick.

Could try something like Leathermasters Strong Leather cleaner. Leaves a matte finish. If it works you can use Leathermasters Barrier after which is also a matte finish.

I wiped it down with a microfiber towel and diluted alcohol, and it somewhat restored the matte look but not fully. Depending on the lighting and sun reflections, I can still see certain areas with shiny spots.

Use Griot Garage Interior Cleaner, which has a mild degreasing agent in it.

Adam's Polishes Interior Detailer also leaves a nice matte finish.
