Electric cutouts

Has anybody thought about installing electric cutouts for their m5? I always wanted my car straight piped but couldn't handle the noise on regular driving so I think that cutouts would go perfect with a flick of a button I can make it silent.

Not exhaust meister, electric cutouts are like straight piping a car with the stock exhaust, and making it quiet whenever you want

Electric cut outs have been used in cars for years. They dont cause any harm. I will most likely try those pretty soon. I posted couple threads about it before.

Exactly, I want to straight pipe the car with the stock exhaust and whenever I want I can close the valves, my cousin did it on his Challeneger Srt8 I was amazed you can get all the sound you want then go to stock with a touch of a button

Are those the QTP valves? I just ordered the dual oval valve kit which includes the wireless remote. It's coming in early this coming week and it'll be installed by the end. I'll probably post something on here and have some pictures of it. I had similar on the m3 and I loved it because you can change the tone at any time and retain the stock look.

What part of the exhaust are you installing them in?

Curious how this works.
I've always read about these valves failing over time.

And whoever said too little back pressure? Turbo cars don't need that shit.

Mine will be installed right before the muffler and positioned outward toward the rear so that it doesn't sound like there's noise coming from directly beneath the car. I've heard other valved systems and it sounds pretty weird with the noise coming from underneath the front doors.

Honestly it is but the car would be do loud that you won't hear where it's coming from

That's true and I honestly would prefer the drone if I can adjust the level of it, lol. The exhaust is just too quiet stock.

The valves are coming in the mail tomorrow and I will let you guys know how the installation goes. I'll most likely take advice from the shop that installs it where to place the valves. But I think right before the muffler would be loud enough.

Lol, you guys do realize that our cats are right behind the turbos? It's impossible to install these before the cats. The turbos sit on top of the block as well.
Look for my thread when I installed my catless downpipes. I posted pictures in there.

I was just going to mention this, but was afraid I'd be wrong.

Mine arrived Monday. Getting it installed Friday morning. Visar, did you get yours installed yet?
