I just received my M Performance parts yesterday and got my car prepped for the install when i found these imperfections on the diffuser probably from the molding process. you can see them in certain areas encompassing the exhaust openings. It doesn't seem normal as it is not consistent on both sides. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. I do not plan to paint this and will follow up with the dealer to get a replacement.

Interesting ramps. Never seen that done before. How'd you get that idea?

Just googled ramps... They are 2x10's stacked and screwed together... Works well so far...ill post some better pics

Costed me less than $40. Ramps are not cheap for good low profile ones

I have the M performance diffuser and I do not have those lines. I can't comment on what it looked like unpainted since I had the dealer paint and install it for me. I'm really diggin those ramps btw

i called brian at sun motor cars and he pulled the other 2 diffusers he had in stock. He found one of the others was similar to my issue and another that he said had a very tiny blemish. He had already shipped it out in the AM so i should have it by wednessday. So if anyone is purchasing a diffuser, you may want to check it for blemishes. Looks like possibly a bad run of these diffusers. He told me that he has sold a ton of those diffusers and never seen or heard of this until now. Big props to Brian @ son motor cars. Definitely great to deal with..

BTW... The ramps do work quite well for $40.00

And the saga continues.... I received diffuser #2... low and behold, more molding lines. Please tell me this is not common for an $360 OEM piece of plastic. If someone owning one of these diffusers could chime in and let me know if these are visible on your diffusers I would be very appreciative.

Not visible on mine but I had mine painted and installed by the dealer so I can't say for sure if it had molding lines.

Thnx... I dont think it looks right at all. None of these issues are present on any of the other M performance parts. Both of the diffusers have similar and differing issues. The most recent one i received has a weird low spot all through the plastic and not as many casting lines.. Brian has been great at trying to get this resoved. He seems to think it may be a new suplier and not being properly molded.

Ok well my diffuser arrived and i even fitted tonight on my own without a ramp only took 25 min. Luckily there were no marks or lines at all in the plastic.

Thnx leeadam, I am glad yours is defect free... Im really hoping Brian can get me a good one. He said he weeded through even more that he ordered on top of his other stock and all had different defects... He told me its very hard to notify these suppliers when there is an issue, so who knows how long it could be before they fix this.

Please do... Sun motors is where both of mine came from and he apparently has had multiple diffusers come in with these similar problems. Hopefully you get luckier than I.
