Well today I thought better shift my arse and fit my winters on now that I've got my tpms sorted
Imagine my surprise when mid way through Fat Kid 1 comments " Dad where is you dust cap off this tyre?" Well some little shites been and nicked two of my valve dust caps!!! Normally I use a pliers to tighten but as these are only plastic bits I didn't bother Now I know it's nothing major and could have been a lot worse etc etc BUT some little shite somewhere has taken it upon themselves to lay hands on my property to help themselves to it Just don't like being a victim. Hope it's not some one on here and they die screaming in agony Ps just letting off steam |

I know exactly what you mean. Someone stole mine years ago but like you I was more annoyed that someone had come near my car and stole something from it. Don't fancy someone else's hands on my car.

So, worth keeping a set of spares in the glove box.

I had the first set nicked whilst at the gym, from there on in I just put the black plastic ones on, the metal OEM ones from BMW look a little tacky IMO.

I've had a set nicked in the past, it's very annoying. But as others have said, keep a spare set, there only a couple of £ from halfrauds. The anti tamper ones just increase the risk of further and more costly damage IMO.

May I draw your attention to this if you have or are thinking of fitting metal dust covers. |

Maybe the OEM silver ones fall off? Checked my tyre pressures today to find one missing at the front, and the other very loose. Both rears were secure.
