Thanks! The goodies were sold as a local "Speed Edition" package actually.

The interior is really attractive for such a BMW

Nothing wrong with the M135i and hot hatches universally aren't exactly Italian designed lookers are they?

The fundamental issue is it's another competent FWD in a sea of other competent FWD cars. If you said the 135i is a better drive than the M140i even without driving it I wouldn't try to dispute.

Now it all depends if you believe robotic levels of competence is the antithesis of fun or not. You'd never have to ask the following in a 135 X-drive.

Oh, it's raining.. Let's see if I end up going around the roundabout today at 30MPH or end up in a tree over there. I am of course joking but it did have a somewhat unpredictable nature with little provocation, kept you on your toes as such..

Whilst it may not have been THE most popular option to drive a 6 pot, RWD hooligan there was nothing else like it catering to a specific type of enthusiast.

I agree the enthusiast will feel differently but my main point is everyone saying its ugly, not a true BMW but it all depends what you want from a car. Like I said, my brother has the M140i and even he was impressed with the XDrive135i. Yes its not a hooligan of a car but most of the time my brother says the 140i is, well, a bit too one directional. When I asked what does he mean he stated "yes it will kick out, engine is lovely and the front end is pretty ok, but the car overall is just average in the real world". His words not mine but each to their own mate. I suppose everything can feel average if not used to its potential. World would be a very boring place if we all liked the same.

Has anyone had one of these on a dyno? I test drove one last week and thought no way is around 300 hp it felt like 350 hp.
