still think E92 looks great

I was on the way to work yesterday driving my DD/beater, and there was a Montego pre-LCI E92 335i dipping through traffic over the bridge. I was thinking to myself a) that car looks great despite being salt encrusted b) that driver is pretty good making aggressive yet controlled lane changes at nearly double the speed limit over the bridge

Decided to try to catch it, to see what kind of guy drives that well on a Fri. morning. Turns out it was a girl.

It is beautiful, in my opinion. Having leased one in the past, every time I see a e92 335, I think the car is classy while being sporty--definitely a looker. I believe it is better looking than the f 32 which seems as if the designers were trying to make it look exotic and overly-styled.

I honestly prefer the E90, not only for 4 doors, but I don't like the elongated styling of the coupe. I like the E46 coupes though.

That being said all E9X bmw's are awesome! At university there's a white E92 335xi that will actively find where I park every day and park right beside me!

Then there's a silver dink mobile to the far left...

I also prefer the e90. The e92 looks too much like a Honda, somewhere between a Civic coupe and an Accord coupe, and its rear haunches are too thin. I much prefer the bulkier ass-end of the e90. Ok, get out those flame throwers

Even I like the E90 more. But YOU DO NOT COMPARE A BMW TO A HONDA. YOU SICK BASTARD.

Isn't it "haunches", maybe I am wrong.

But no matter how much I agree with you that the e90 looks better than an e92, lets face it, the cars are almost identical (except from behind). I dont think the different location of the B-pillar and the longer door of the e92 are significant.

Being that they are so similar and the differences so minor, insulting the e92 by calling it like Honda or an Accord is also a reflection on the e90, so that insults us all. You should be more specific if you want to criticize the e92, like say the tail lights remind you of a Honda Civic or something along those lines.

Basically, to the uneducated eye, they all look the same. But from a purely aesthetic perspective, and being an e90 owner, I would say that the LCI e91 is the best looking of all because of it's shape and it was lucky enough to get the LCI e90 tails which were sadly left off the e92.

Thanks - improving my English on the forums was not expected, but appreciated. You are correct - I definitely meant 'haunches.' As to what is Honda-esque, it would have to be the rake of the C-pillar and the tail lights. Google a late 90's Honda Civic coupe. Or look here: https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/i...dEU6q_SRS6ARGA

I am pretty sure I hit on a sensitive spot here. The hate I am feeling (and I am loving it) is coming from a lot of pent-up e92 insecurity It's ok, there is a ricer out there who will gladly take that e92 off your hands. You can then use the cash to buy a proper BMW

E92 coupe (335i especially, with the twin exhaust) is a beautiful classic, far superior not only in looks but dynamically, to the newer 3 and 4 series.

I'll be holding on to mine for a while. I have a 2008 and only just now broke 50,000 miles last week.

WoW. Funny what jealousy does. And all coming from a guy who drives an '06 330xi. A glorified sewing machine.

E92s are ageing nicely (even the pre-lci ones). F32 just looks like a fat pig. I'll be holding onto my 2007 335i, currently at 58k miles, for another 2 years, then I'm getting a 2012 m-sport 335i coupe in 2016.

I have my E90 328i that I purchased in 2009 and I much prefer the E92 over it.

It might just be me, but I have a very hard time telling a pre lci car from a lci car.
