I can only describe the publication of the latest New Year Honours list as an abject failure. In past years there was a single PDF that brought it all together. But this year it seems that each government department wanted to issue its own list in isolation. My late father was a UK civil servant, so I know well the attitudes that exist within the various branches. I see lots of "this department was responsible" empire building in this divided up mess. Utterly pathetic.

If somebody does find an overarching government document, not Wikipedia , please post a link. Maybe my Google Fu is off today.
