The End of RFTs as I know it.

Ok Fug it I have had enough. Caught a roofing nail in the right rear! MF'er! This one's nearly in the side wall and unfixable.

Guess what? For just about $140 more, I am getting 4 new RE050A vs. what it would cost to replace just the back two RE050A RFTs.

I will report back with purely subjective observations. New tires are exactly same size, etc, etc just not the RFs. Can't wait to put the car through my favorite run to feel the difference.

Hey, where do I go here to sell 2 slightly used RF Bridgestone front tires?

Living on good luck. There are a few options for those of us smart enough to ditch the RFTs.

Correcto Jaws. And mine is- Aerosol flat fix and a compressor that works off the cig lighter stashed in the trunk. Total cost- about $20. Tire pressure monitor goes to work as soon as the tire drops 3 lbs from initiation pressure. so you pull over immediately, hit the tire with the aerosol and go get a $15 plug at the nearest service center.

I had to call 4 tire retailers to find one who'd work on RFs. That's bullshit. This is a technology who's time has not yet come. I'm no canary in the coal mine, bro. I'm done with it. My next BMW will have a non-RFT swap with a discount in the price or I'm walking.
