I've always thought the 3.0-liter I-6 in my '95 M3 sounded awesome, and hey, redline is less than 7K. I guess I'm supposed to stop thinking that way now, because the F80 is must sound bad because it's a 3.0-liter I-6. I'm so glad I follow this forum. How else would I know WHAT to think?

OK, I admit the idea of piped noise feels creepy to me. I'll reserve judgment on that one. If it gives me decent engine sound without any booming in the cockpit, I may become a believer. Maybe...
