It may be a while. The only thing avail at the moment is the HR springs for x drive owners. I believe someone will attempt to install bilstein shocks on it as well. The reason why it's slow going is because the car weighs about 200lb more than a standard F30/F32. So the suspension companies have to develop a kit just for x drive cars and because they won't move as many units as non x drive car applications, it just isn't a priority. But I'm sure they'll be released at some point. See how long it took HR to release their x drive springs.

I know you can order different spring rates for BC coilover systems so you can probably find one that works nicely. If you just go with their standard recommended application, chances are your car will be really low even at max height. It's picking the right spring rates and dampener settings that all the big names spend their R&D on. If you go the BC route you just have to trust that the spring rate you pick will yield good results. A little too much of a crap shoot if you ask me. I'd wait for someone to come out with a specific x drive application. The HR and Bilstein combo looks to be the best option at this point. Someone should contact Bilstein to see if their dampeners for non X drive cars are suitable for the heavier X drive vehicles. In my opinion, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

It just might work. You'll probably sit a little lower than an non x drive m sport because of the extra weight, almost making it look like m performance suspension. Don't know about longevity though because your car will always be putting extra weight on the suspension but don't think it'll be too much of an issue. Someone just has to be brave enough to give it a shot and report back.

I've been after KW via email every month now since Jun, and they say they have nothing to tell me. "We're waiting on Germany." Is what they told me and have no dates. Supremely, unbelievably frustrating, considering that they have coil-over kits for the Euro-spec xDrives available since like August I believe (KW that is...). I know this wasn't very helpful comment :/ Really just more of a venting rant. I hate the way my car rides with its floaty-boat suspension, but I'm in my lease for only 6 months, so am way too upside down to sell or trade out until at least next June. |

Per the Tuner Motorsport website they offer a Coilover Kit for the 328i xDrive F31 Wagon. The kit is a KW Coilover Kit - Variant 1 (V1) Part #: 1022000LX for Base Price: $1,659.99 (USD).
It's strange that they only offer the H&R Springs for the F30 328 xDrive Sedan and not a coil over kit? Has anyone tried this coilover kit on a F31 wagon? |

All about demand. While there are people that buy the Xdrive that want to lower it, just not enough to justify R&D many times. With the cost of R&D increasing over the years, it takes that much more in sales to break even. |

Perhaps the wagon uses similar parts to the regular RWD so there is not much to develop and tool? Have you considered that? Or similar to previous model again re-using tools and not having to spend money to develop new tools. To give you a insight on manufacturing since that is my profession, a tool to mold a small PVC/plastic part starts at about 3-4,000 and can go well into the 10s of thousands depending on size. A tool for die cast parts start at a min 7-8000 and again increase in costs exponentially. So these factories hold off until typically they have enough interest and demand to pay off the tools in 6 months or less. Again you are not looking at the situation from a standpoint of a manufacturer. I never said the Xdrive was not popular. I said it is a low demanded car to get lowered. Completely two different scenarios. Just because you see a lot of Xdrives on the road does not mean they are all calling in for coil overs. Look on here and there are way more people running springs than coil overs so they will come out with springs first and then if the demand for the springs is high then coil overs typically follow. It is the nature of developing a product line with low risk. Then again wtf would I know working for a multinational manufacturing company...LOL... They are coming as I was told this by KW and H&R, but as they told me as well, they are just not a priority because of the demand. Oh crap did I just explain that above? Yah I did... Do you have the part #? Are you 100% sure BC Coilovers are compatible with xdrive? i've asked a couple vendors and they claimed it's for RWD only. We'll be really appreciate if you can give us more info about it. |

Call BC direct. My buddy was debating to get an xd or rwd and BC was the only one that makes them at the moment. The other bigger guys were holding off. |

Not yet the 4 series is a completely different set up. My buddy just got done calling every company and maybe by 2nd quarter next year you may see someone like BC first before others. There was a company that will custom make them for you, but you are looking at $6,000. If you want I can find out who it was, but personally I would just wait.
