Wastegate actuator rattling issue

I took my car in today and showed the tech this video

He diagnosed it as a known wastegate actuator issue and that BMW are working on a fix, hopefully to be ready by mid-late Feb.

I have the car booked in for this and will update the thread when I have anything more to add.

Just got an update from BMW, they still do not have a fix despite telling me it would be the end of February.

Judging by this thread, this issue has been ongoing for at least eighteen months.

Mine rattles but have been told by the dealer that it is normal.
