GF congratulations on your new baby.
Post some pics (of course). Stew, nice X5 you got there. BTW, burl wallnut is really burl wallnut....very fine slivers of burl walnut affixed on a polymer backing and plastified (the finish) to protect said sliver of authenticity-but authentic it is. I am driving for the moment an automatic 325. Funny enough it is the encapsulation of all the little niggly things posted here in different forums: -hesitation on start (bcs starts in second gear) : check -oil sensor screwy (light is on-indicator shows minimum but only tells you to add 1 litre) : check -grippy brakes from a standing start (intermitent - due to software glitch the hill assit comes in play even on even surfaces) : check -stuck door handles rear : check |

Wolf, you get credit for this Burl Obsession - partly.....I really wanted it when I ordered the car but they didn't have it when my car went into production.
Whatever. But when we got together I really liked how it looked in your car and it pissed me off enough to find it - here as it happens, from longtran, the post count and Mod King of e90post.com! Now Bimmerista, thanks for the affirmation, I was thinking what arrogance to charge $500 on the 325 for friggin' plastic, but now that I know it IS wood....well, it's still not worth an additional $500 but fuck it, I have it now for $300. As for your loaner, the CAR NEEDS OIL. Stuck rear door handles, check, so did Tom. Hill Brake helper, check, on the flat, but I think it's fun. I went by a new Space Grey 335i with a 50ish woman in it on the 20 in stop and start traffic today. I looked over to give her the thumbs up, I even tooted twice, but she didn't look over, she was watching the traffic. SNOBBY BMW driver!!! Gotta go wash my car now and garage it for the weekend!!

Now that's more like it Tom!
Thewhte wagon is a t5 series. Those wagon pics are lovely, esspecially your Aunt's place. The renatl car is depressing. The dog is cute, and the sopranos' house is hilarious! Was the NYC pic taken from the ESB or the WTC?? I love New York!

The pic of my grandfather's car and my aunt's car were both taken at my grandfather's place. So it's an old 5 series? Do you know roughly what year it was?
I remember him going apeshit when I was a kid because I drew something on the back window in the dirt. He was a hardcore BMW guy, had them almost his whole life. Pic taken from the ESB. The other one was taken in lower mahattan. |
