G30 at Berry Heathrow
Saw this, it was in an area that said closed but the door was open so I went in regardless

The launch preview is on Feb 9 at Berry Chiswick. I'm going, really want to see this IRL.

One has arrived at Lloyd BMW in Newcastle, UK. I was only shown and allowed to explore it because I was ordering a G30. They had to drive it into the show room for me and drove it back into the garage as 'it has not been launched yet'. I was able to enter it and it is definitely more luxurious that F10. The instrument display is far better , the dashboard is covered with artificial leather. Its boot door is lighter, ambient light is great. The i drive screen is sumptuous and rich. Outside it looks bigger than F10 (probably the effects of wider front and backlight clusters), more mean in stance and the back view is much better and more muscular. I love it
Th ordinary LED light as in the above picture would be hard to differentiate from current xenon light on F10 and might even look worse as it does not have the eyebrow indicator light but incandescent light as the indicator. So I think it should be ordered with full adaptive headlight . I would also recommend reverse assist camera as the car seems so big and luxurious and I would hate any scratch on the rear bumper with the lovely rectangular double exhausts. I agree, Full LED Adaptive headlight should be the first selected option.

First car I've seen with the m-sport interior alu trim with black upholstery.

Anyway... I do believe it depends on how 'good' the standard LEDs are... my view is that there are other priorities, e.g. VDC before adaptive LED... IMHO

This is almost identical to my order, minus the sunroof and X-Drive & Harmon Kardon HiFi (correction:I see blue stitch on black leather which I have) I also have reverse camera/VDC)
I hope the black fascia around the controls is not standard on the M Sport... it is a fingerprint magnet, looks awful (update, it is an optional extra I see, not standard, excellent) The Bluestone metallic looks more grey in this artificial light Berry Heathrow is my local BMW, will go and have a look too

Is Berry Heathrow the same as Berry Chiswick?

My test drives were in cars with VDC and it was night and day... unfortunately I chose other toys and regretted it ever since.

Is the centre console lockable ?
From the pics I can't see the centre console keyhole (like the F10); Is it lockable? I hope so!

Thanks, that's a real bummer. I lock my iPod in there etc. to plug into USB Media etc. - Unless they moved the USB devices to the Glove Box ?

I believe it's like that on all G30.

I am sure the black trim pieces in the photo is standard on all G30 interiors. Which I agree will attract fingerprints and scratches! You can specify Piano Black instead of the brushed aluminium parts, which maybe the optional extra you are seeing. (or ceramic finish to the controls) |
