If this was a 1x1 cf weave (to match the roof) & assuming fit/finish is great than I'd be all over this. Of course I'd paint it oem exterior color & leave parts of the cf exposed. Any plans for a 1x1 version? If yes then ETA & price? Thx!

For now, we are only offering the 2x2 version. We will have pictures posted of the underside shortly.

Stay tuned!

So is the carbon molded over plastic?
Do you know if there is a weight savings?
Are the vents carbon?

The carbon fiber is layered over FRP. The vents are not carbon. The hood weighs exactly 22lbs.

The stock aluminum hood weighs 22.5 lbs, so you save a grand total of 0.5 lbs with this mod!

Sorry, but let us know when you have a real CF hood like this one (for less of course!):

Well, I would think most enthusiasts purchase the hood just for the carbon fiber look. It is not fake carbon fiber, it is just layered over fiberglass.

You do have point there. Just does not apply to me. I would actually buy it for weight reduction and paint it.

That's crazy talk - buying carbon fiber for weight reduction rather than looks?

Yeah, I'm one of those crazy people who buy CF for its material properties.
