Glad I did not buy a 135 :)

Here is some of my video from this weekend. A BMW 135 was following me at about 120mph and when I braked for the corner he tried to take the pass but did not make it. I was pretty sure I needed to brake for that corner and if he thought he did not need to I was happy to let him try

Looked like bad driving to me. Was going in hot, sure, but could have been saved IMO. Looked like he didin't countersteer on time, but could have been other errors (or a combination) as well. Hard to say from a monitor, but glad it wasn't worse.

you can't see them in the video but there are a lot of marbles on the far left side of the track. I talked to the drivers afterword and he said once he crossed the pit blend line it was all over but the crying. That is why I applied the brakes

he was lucky. his line wasn't all that bad, a little hot granted. clips a fairly late apex but the marbles just grabbed his wheels like a friggin ice patch. kinda funny tho ....

"Marbles"? I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to these things, but I have never heard this term used before. What does it mean? Google provides no help.

T1 at H2R can be taken full throttle, but not by a moderately powerful street car without sticky rubber.

My guess is he got distracted from the pass and forgot about preparing for the corner, then ran out of talent.

Looks he took a late entry without adjusting his entrance speed, tried to get back to apex, uh-oh track out is coming up fast, lifted but didn't correct, completely losing rear traction and luckily didn't pile-drive someone coming onto the track at pit out.

You can see the rear wheels are already sliding two car lengths before apex, big slip angle and that corner is very slightly off camber, the track drains to the infield. T1 needs throttle to keep the rear end hunkered down.

It was a good catch after he got off track, it could have been worse, big airbag test. Looks like he got back on the gas and wanted to stay in front of you!

I'm surprised TDE.net allows passing on the front "straight"? Was that a legit passing zone, it's usually not for just this reason, were you in the instructor/advanced group?

It's the balled up rubber bits from tires thrown to the edge of the track...slag, gummy bears, marbles.

Thank you sir. Yes, I know what those are. Just never heard of them referred to as marbles. I just say...balled up rubber bits from tires.

Maybe not prove anything, but just figured he could go a little bit faster around the track than his ahead fellow racer. It's real easy to follow others on tracks and think you are faster, but more difficult to lead and stay at that pace or faster. Practice makes perfect.
