You have to be prepared for the winter season so indirectly you have to put winter tires on your car. If you are implied in an accident your insurance company may limit the cash they give you. Simply if you block the trafic because your car isn't adequately equipped you could have trouble. I will put winter tires on my M135i and M2 mid November

Tonight. Still on summer tires but xDrive provides an amazing traction even with low temperatures (0 degrees celcius « in this pic »).

I have never fitted winter tyres and I don't intent too. I can understand why certain country's who insist on them though.
However don't confuse traction with grip and drive to the conditions...

If you drive often with 7 celcius degrees (or below), go for a proper winter set. Otherwise the all season tire could be a good alternative
