Hey bud,

235/35/19 Conti Sport contact 5p fronts. Currently around 36ish PSI

285/30/19 P 0 Corsa rears. Was running 38 up till a few hours ago, and now running 44 PSI.

Im not too fussed on the cold start PSI as I drive it 5am everyday. But for any serious driving where they will get up to temperature I think I would lower the pressures back down 36/38 rears.

I know the pressures may be different because of the E91 but how much more different? I have also seen on some other threads people have been running ridiculously high presures.

I think it comes down to the variables, such as climate, road surface, temp, driving style, tyre brand/compound, steering feedback and driver enjoyment etc

I just find that with a lower PSI there seems to be more noticable slip angle at the rears.

The car seems much happier at the higher PSI.

I assumed that normal meant the RFT's. factory fitted. It seems that in time they will nearly all be RFT's

Just to clarify - I'm on NON-RFT, standard staggered 18" sizes. My pressures, from the plate on my door, should be 2.4 bar front, 2.7 bar rear. That converts to the 36psi F/39psi R that I'm running.



Judging from everyone else's pictures, the sill plates are tailored and individual to each body style/engine size combination.

Edit: The 2.7/3.2 for a fully loaded car will be interesting when we go off on holiday next month...

My LCI 330d has a higher pressure indicated on the plate compared to my old pre-LCI 330d (about 3 PSI more). Both E90 M Sport and essentially the same car apart from one is LCI and the other an 06 plate pre-LCI.

Fully laden, the LCI supposed to be:
Front: 44 PSI (3.0 Bar)
Rear: 50 PSI (3.5 Bar)

Holy cow mate!!! Judging by your table, it states that if your running 255/30/19 then BMW reccomends 3.5 bar thats around 50psi!!

Im running 44 as of yesterday and its nice. May try 46 on the rears.

I think this depends on what tyres your running. What wheels and condition of your shocks.

50 psi, is maximum psi on most tires, thats why i stay under 44psi.

I've just put my summer 19's on with Vredstien Sessantas "normal" tyres. Have set them to 40 psi all round for now as the rears are 265/30.

So far so good, cat's eyes and manhole covers are more gentle on my back than on the Bridgestones. Haven't had to visit the Chiropracter today... ;-)

i changed my run flats to normal tyres today. just on the drive back i noticed the ride is so much better. no more harsh bangs.

the tyres are 225 45 17 91Y Goodyear Eagle F1 A2's. guy at the garage set the front and rear tyres at 32PSI, which i think is quite low. the door card says to set them at 33F and 41R, but obviously these figures are for run flats.

What pressure should i run?

Stick with what the door card says - the air pressure inside the tyre is what keeps the car up, not the RFT sidewalls
