Its unfortunate that they are not planning to offer a manual transmission with xDrive.

Take a look at the cut-away drawing of the 6-speed MT. The oil distribution tubing is labeled "Oil filter wrench".

The xDrive option includes auto tranny with paddles (which is a $1600 option w/o xDrive), so the xDrive feature is really only a $2K feature.

BTW, there is NO manual tranny with xDrive.

Yeah that's a good way of looking at it if you want the AT anyway.

But if you don't want auto tranny, it cuts out getting xDrive. That is my case, because if I were to get the 235, it would have to be the 6MT. I can live without xDrive a lot easier than no having the manual.
