Not The Usual Angel Eye Question
A bit of advice & wisdom from you guys please?
I have one of the last of the pre-LCI E92's - with the Yellow Corona rings, of course. Now, I would like to have the white LED effect of the LCI, but I am fed up of reading stories about which is best and worst of all about fault codes and other loads of other issues with pretty much every version that I have come across. So, can anybody recommend a standardish H8 bulb that is brighter than normal - even if it is still Yellow? Thanks |

I run a set of these... They aren't as white as the LED type but they are whiter than standard and brighter than the LED equivalent.

You will not be able to get the full effect of an LCI light on a Pre-LCI car by changing the bulb alone. (although in low lighting situations its somewhat close) The only way you can achieve LCI brightness is by getting a complete retrofit of your headlights: whereby the angel eye light chambers are replaced with actual rings of LEDs. (these guys do a top service: http://www.liteangels.co.uk/ ) If you are looking for LEDs that are brighter than stock/ white/ no error codes/ 1 years warranty, Just look a little harder on the forum. It's all in the name! |

I have had my lights retrofitted by Josh on here, owner of lite angels and I've had numerous compliments with these daytime visible, crystal clear lights that look on par if not better than LCI headlights, only because josh uses LEDs. Give him a shout... Josh1a1h his username |

I think its £310 if you take your headlights out, they do the conversion and send them back to you. If you want a drive in drive out service then it's an extra £120.

Depends on what your budget is?? Is budget is no limit then Josh's lights is the way forward.
If you only spend a few quids then ebay leds are the way forward. Desperate many vendors say there is alot of difference and quality bla bla bla...i think most of them are china exports. I have spent circa of 130 pounds for 2 different set of LED's. first was some few watt V-shape ones ( which you can only see at night ) then i bought the 40Watts kit for 60 pounds on ebay( i'm very happy with them, no errors slight radio interferance WHEN I TURN ON THE heated windscreen in the rear window) Inner ring is the brightest but that is a truth that i accepted on the pre-lci cars. My thread which give you idea http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=836502
