sorry I didnt reply earlier, I was in the canary islands these past 2 weeks.
I havent posted a diy, as of right now you can follow the diagram i posted earlier and ask if you have any questions, or I could prepare the harnesses for you for around $200. the computer basically reads the impedance from the fog lights, so yes, with my setup both xenon and fogs turn on together. (which I always wanted btw)

I am now selling the harness to get rid of the error.
look above for schematics of the harness. no splicing or cutting required, plug and play, totally reversible basically you can chose 2 setups with the same harness: 1. (my setup) fog lights turn on together with low beams 2. full functionality of your foglights, but the 2 27w bulbs hidden behind your bumper will turn on along with your low beams. (I didnt chose this because I though it was weird to have those bulbs turn on even though I would never see them, plus I always wanted fogs without having to press button) harness goes for $190. PM for paypal ID and any questions, thanks

+1!!! I do a lot of night driving, and the first time out with the car last night, it was absolutley amazing! I've been in other cars with HID retro kits, but nothing beats OEM projector+ highbeam. The brightness on the road is awesome. |

I am still dealing with one of my xenon going out after few seconds of driving...I attached the ground with the ground coming into my old halogen housing yesterday but before I ran a wire to the black box... and usually its my left side also I noticed that my left side xenon color is little dull than my right side xenon.... does this have anything to do with it going out......how have u guys grounded u r's...I can't seem to solve this problem...

rememeber: I am not responsible if any damage occurs to your car. harnesses still going for $190 good luck ---- 1- Screw relay onto hole behind bumper (hole is a plastic plate underneath headlight, where the arrow shows). this keeps the relay high and away from water (even when it is a water resistant relay). 2 - Connect fuse end to battery 3- Connect round connector to ground 4 - Disconnect pin #3 from headlight connector by applying pressure on the little hole above it with a needle 5 - Connect bmw pin from harness in the place of pin #3 6 - Connect original pin #3 to the last wire and tape it up - remove original fog light and brake plastic piece that separate pins (so that the connector fits -very easy to do, look at the first picture, thats not the original fog light, it's for illustartion purposes) - place foglight back in it's housing - connect socket from harness to fog light - connect 27w bulbs to the original fog light socket and adjust the fog light harness so that the bulbs are held onto the bumper facing towards the engine. (don't worry, they only turn on if you press the fog light button) good luck

Can you create a DIY from start to finish.... including what parts you will need.
This would be going from OEM halogen to OEM Xenon without an error as a new DIY |

So, isn't there something we can use instead of a 27w bulb to get the proper impedance? I know there are kits with aftermarket lights to get rid of the error that use resisters, why hasn't anyone made one for those of us with OEM Halogen-HID swap>?
