N55 Long Cranks at 550 miles
My wife's '11 335i coupe has already had several long cranks and actually stalled out the other day while driving (auto). Anyone else having issues with their N55?

Really? Really... is it that these German companies have no fear of the US market and recalls.. like the Japanese currently are? My sister's Benz (SLK) was a POS too... why has there not been a consumer advocated uproar over these fricken continous and blatant problems?

Well we did know that they are putting the same HPFP in the N55...so it shouldn't be THAT much of a shocker...

I spoke to someone relatively high up in BMW Canada and they confirmed that the fuel pumps are similar and the problems will continue. So this is not surprising. There are revisions on the N55 to hopefully mitigate the problems but I wouldn't hold my breathe that this is 100% solved on the N55.

Is it really that hard to design a fuel pump...?

I still don't understand why there isn't a class action lawsuit against them at this point. They are still selling cars knowing full well the fuel pump is defective.

wow, that is a bit rediculous. BMW acts like they are trying to cure cancer or something. Its a defective part that has been on these cars for years. Major Flop.

I guess the potential on of the engine outweighs the fuel pump problem
