ANGEL EYES Confusion... OSS vs. Umnitza vs. etc... (Vendors, come in!)
Hey guys;
So far my mods are : AA Blow-Off Valve OEM Front Aero Lip M3 Sideskirts M3 trunk lip ACS style Roof Lip I decided to move to another eye-catching mod, getting rid of my OEM angel eyes and switching to something sexy. So I started doing my search on the forum and the one product I was fascinated by is the OSS Angel-Eyes WITH Black-Out option... When I saw them, I drooled and I rapidly went into imagining myself cruising at night with those beautiful light artifacts illuminating the front of my car as I roll... I think the OSS would be worth the price although they are a bit expensive but it's a genuine head-turner. I've read lots of reviews and concluded that OSS offer the best not only in terms of looks but also in terms of illumination in day-light and at every angle. However, the bad news is that I don't live in the US, I live all the way in Beirut, Lebanon. Shipping my headlights to the US would force me to consider the following inconveniences: - The shipping cost would be too high obviously and add to the already expensive price - I have 4 other rides, but the idea of having to put my 335i on idle mode and park it until the headlights are shipped back home is heart-breaking hehe and driving the car without headlights would be equivalent to hanging out with your girlfriend half naked LOL - Duration of the whole operation - Risk of shipping & handling dangers (Just for the record, OEM adaptive headlights here cost $2,400 each at the dealership...) I desperately want the OSS though... They're the perfect option for me especially that I have a Jet Black car and I love the way they look with this color. So my 3 options are : - Going with the flow of my desire, sending out the headlights to the US and putting the end-result ahead of all the inconveniences I mentioned above - Buy the OSS complete kit and acquire a DIY on the blackout option which I simply ADORE and find a local head-light professional to do the job (it's pretty easy to find one) - Considering another Angel-Eyes kit that is closest to the "OSS Standard" both in terms of looks and illumination. If you pick the 3rd option then please show me pics (comparison pics preferably) because I am totally unaware of other brands and their cons/pros. The Popular ones that I noticed from my research on the forum so far are : OSS Umnitza Predator Ice Umnitza Predator Orion v2 LUX PIAA GP Thunder 8500k WeissLicht Ultra-Bright LED Angel Eye As far as an alternative close to the OSS is concerned, I found the Umnitza Predator Orion v2 to be the best alternative and closest one to OSS as it has a "discontinuous" and dotted sort of lighthing in the ring but I noticed that it's in the inner one only! I feel a bit lost and misguided and lost with all the alternatives available and I am a bit anxious as I want to pick the right choice for this mod as it is a crucial mod for me... What do you suggest guys? I need a reliable solution because I can't afford to ship back and forth... Hope to hear from you all soon... PS: PLEASE POST PICS FOR EVERY BRAND SO I CAN COMPARE IN AN ACCURATE MANNER. Haters, don't reply posting the "search" button because I already used it but didn't find a holistic thread otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to type this all Last edited by Aphrodisiac777; 11-09-2011 at 03:13 AM.. |

Either do the OSS and just pick a good shipping courier. I use DHL to go internationally, they never have customs issues and have great insurance rates to protect your investment. That or 2nd best is LUX.

for a plug and play modification LUX H8 V3 angel eyes will be your brightest option. OSS will be brighter but that also requires much more work and $$

Yes I will use a reliable shipping company such as DHL. Guys how do I contact OSS so I can set a shipping/time/money quotation with them? Please let me know... Thanks I googled and went to the official OSS website and sent e-mails to the following addresses: luis@ossdesigns.net sales@ossdesigns.net However, I received "Delivery Failure Notification" on both of them... |

What is the watts on these? Bought angle eyes in white to replace my oem E92 07 bulbs. Disappointing. The outer rings are less visible now and I was about to go back to stock stumbled on this! Hope this is my solution to mimic LCI e92. The stockers as well as gale eyes were 35 watts.

I had the city visions for a while and they were ok. I just put the LUX H8 V3's in and they are brighter for sure.
I saw some the other day that were like OSS and they were beatiful in person. But no way I'll ever have the time to remove my headlights and mail them in..and pay the $$ for it. The Lux's were an easy install and worth it IMO...

Go with the LUX. I spent over a week researching angel eyes for my car and although there were a lot of great ones out there, I couldn't stop seeing so many positive comments about the new LUX v3. I just ordered one this weekend and they're shipping to me already. If it helps here's a sticky that would help you. Check it out, it's awesome... people in this forum are awesome!
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335303 Good luck!
