I wouldn't hesitate. Lithuania is like where all the euro car parts dismantlers are. Everything I've ordered from that region has been much better packed than used parts ordered from the US.

You're right, I filtered my search differently and bought the SCALED version. About $270 shipped I think coming from georgia.

Also picked up the bezel from bimmertech. So I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks to all the trailblazers. Next step is to figure out how to do the coding. I've done some coding before but its been a while so I gotta get back in the game there. I've got my OBD adapter and bimmercode ready to go.

Came out fantastic. Screen showed up flawless. Only headaches I had was that I had CarPlay already enabled. As a result, BimmerCode wouldn’t let me code anything. I had to revert it to stock. Then do the coding needed for the screen and then unlocking CarPlay again. But it works. The only thing is I “feel” like it isn’t as bright as I thought it would be. It was an exceptionally bright day out today and we both had sunglasses on but felt like the screen wasn’t as bright as the 8.8”. All settings turned to Max.

If anyone is in my shoes. After reverting to stock, in the BimmerCode app you have to delete any cached files first before attempting to code. Then it will work.

Awesome! Thank you this was exactly what I had too and was confused as to why it was only at night! Only downside is for me to use bimmercode again I've got to disable carplay again (revert to stock). And do the whole song and dance again. Now that I know how to do it it isn't hte end of the world, but need to set aside some time to knock it out. Thanks for this!

Happy to help! The brightness control really does make a massive difference. Strange why BMW removed that option from the default coding...
