I believe its using the Red Sport's tune (to make it a 400Z) as well as suspension and braking components. That model starts at $55k in the Infiniti range. Maybe they will release a lower tier model to compete with the 2.0 Supra? :

With all the criticism of the Q60's suspension, I would hope they do not go that route |

I've owned a 90 300zx and 370z Nismo (first gen version) and was excited for the next gen Z.
It doesn't look bad.....but I agree, that front grill needs reshaping. The rear I think is missing a small lip spoiler or something. I don't understand Nissan and Toyota's two tone roof and body color scheme they do but I prefer a single color through out. The biggest upgrade is the interior dash and Twin Turbo engine! Although knowing Nissan the interior will look dated next year 🤣. Hopefully the Nismo varient will look more aggressive. |

Yeah, its great looking to me. The front grille is the worst part.
Jalopnik commenter Crankaholic came up with this, which i think looks better. https://jalopnik.com/1845071131 |

I personally could not imagine a sports car with the Q50 steering and suspension. I drove one coming from a G37 and could not believe how play-doh-like everything felt, except for the engine which was the weak point of the G37 IMO. VR30 and literal everything else from a 370z would be perfect in my eyes |

I like the rear and side profile. The front is a bit boring they need to spice it up a bit. But dang that seat bottom bulge and those seat adjustment knobs look unchanged from my 2007 350z lol.
I know Nissan is doing the best with what they have but hopefully they don’t overprice this. I’m hoping for the 400hp 6MT version to start below $45k |

Front end looks like a skeleton. Rest of the car looks great.
Interior looks too similar to the 12 year old current model. Materials looks typical Nissan.

I don’t think that design’s going to age well. Wishful thinking, but hopefully they tweak those details before launch. |

At first I was thinking the Supra would have to worry. After seeing these pics I no longer think that at all. The design is pretty bland IMO. Front looks unfinished and boring, the sides remind me of a Miata for some reason (which isn't a bad thing, just not very unique), and the rear struck me as very Mustang (so not differentiated again). The design feels pretty emotionless IMO, vs the Supra has an abundance of it. The 350/370Z and G35 looked great, and even the current Q60 looks great. This but this new Z is pretty sterile and stone cold in comparison.

These are all really bad. It's not the abomination that the Supra is, but it's like 80-90% the same as the last model as far as lines. Obviously, they think they have a 911 here. The Supra at least dared to go somewhere else. Not sure exactly where that was, but all of this seems to be pretty confused. The 350 kind of had some throwback 1930s aero/gothic design elements that were interesting, but they tried to keep that going with the 370 and that just didn't work. They peaked with the 300ZX.
