Debadged my first GTi, didn't debadged my second GTi do to it being a special edition. I debadged my Evo and then rebadged it with a U.K. badge. Although I do have a second trunk lid for the Evo that is completely debadged.

Debadging is strictly a matter of personal aesthetics.
Some people love their bumpers covered with "No Fat Chicks" and "<-- Passing Side, Suicide -->" stickers; some people don't. Some people like their women covered with tattoos; some people prefer them shaved clean. Can't we all just get along?

To request Badge removal, you ask the dealership to send in a request to BMW. I requested that the BMW dealership to send the request to the factory and receive a confirmation of: "320 Model designation removal" This is a code to remove the 135i badge. Don't know why it says 320 model?

Bi-turbo is more correct than twin turbo for the 135i/335i. BMW themselves use the bi-turbo terminology.

As for me, I'll be adding a black Nurburgring decal to the rear as soon as I get it run-in and out on the ring! I think I have some silver and red ones laying around as well that I have no immediate need for.

We can order "badge delete" delete in Australia also. Just like the "cleanness", and really don't care if people know what car I am driving or not. Those in the know, will be able to pick the difference between a 128 and 135, and anyone else won't even know why there is a difference.

I don't expect people will have that good of eyesight to be able to make out the trunk moniker, as it's decreasing in size so rapidly anyway.

Badges off for me. No other reason than symmetry.

Adding to this age old argument.. I believe a lot of it has to do with the shape and colour of the car. For example.. red E36 coupe... debadging = awesome. Black.. not quite as awesome, but still clean.

Just pour some very hot water over the badges, leave to soak in and repeat a few times. Then get some dental floss and gently saw through the adhesive. Once the badges are removed use some detergent and hot water to remove the adhesive. For any stubborn bits use a clay bar, then polish and wax to protect that area.

Symmetry? Seen the location of the tailpipes? Guess you'll need to get Hamann's exhaust and rear diffuser to get real symmetry.
All kidding aside, I like the clean look too. With my luck, BMW will soon change the motor and call the next version a 140i, then all the 135i's will seem old and dated and wanted no more.
