I have been trying to get Amazon music to work for some time via a cable, and to my surprise it started working yesterday. I am guessing this was the result of an Amazon or Apple software update.

I notice that I generally have to turn off bluetooth on my phone in order to force the cable connection. When it is working, a USB icon appears on the upper right corner of the screen.

I am using the USB connection near the cupholders.

The sound quality with Amazon Ultra HD and the B&W system is phenomenal. It blew me away so much that I drove around for two hours yesterday listening to music.

The volume can be cranked extremely loud with no distortion whatsoever. The detail and impact in the lower end frequencies is the most improved. The seats resonate and you can feel the impact of certain notes in your back and legs. The system has a lot more power than I realized. I occasionally get some rattling from the center and rear ceiling speaker covers with certain music frequencies, however.

Using the cable is a huge improvement over Carplay even. I am thrilled that I now have the best quality possible via streaming vs having to load files onto a USB.

I can truly say that the B&W is the best stock system I've heard in a car, and it rivals aftermarket systems of similar cost.

Yep, I'm talking about a wired connection. The quality if substantially better, especially with B&W. Even better than Carplay wireless.

Good to hear this, I'm planing to use my iPhone with Tidal via usb cable with all songs downloaded to the phone in the best quality possible!!

I haven’t tried Tidal. Let us know if it works via cable from your phone!

I’m not sure, I had an android when I first got my G05 and no streaming apps worked with a cable. However, my iphone only started working within the past week. Try shutting off Bluetooth and plug your phone in near the cup holders.

When playing high res files, what is the sample rate that the Amazon App indicates it’s playing at?

How does the depth and volume of bass on the B&W system compare to the HK? I find the bass on my HK to be a bit weak.

Wireless connection is thru Wifi which is lossless. Sound quality should be similar.

Someone on here recommended Tidal to me not too long ago. I use it wirelessly via CarPlay and it's incredible. Huge, very noticeable difference compared to the Apple Music I was using before!

Curious what cable you are using? Have you tried the Lightning to USB-C connection in the center console?

Should be, but isn’t. Cable connection is definitely superior.

Haven’t tried the center console yet. Using lightning to usb-a in cup holder area.
