Closest thing to an M3 GTS with some help from IND
Finally completed
20 inch Textured Black HRE P40 KW V3 coil overs Akrapovic Evolution Full Ti System Brembo BBK 380mm front and rear BMW Performance Seats Flashed ECU Tune BMC Filter 35% tint Carbon Kidney Grills Gloss Black side Markers Thanks to Nate and Ilia at IND, who supplied the Akrapovic Evolution System and yellow Brembo Gran Tourismos. They have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. They have helped me decide on which direction to go, and what mods to get. Purchasing and shipping has been unbelievably quick, and I highly recommend them to anyone living outside the US, regardless of what local sources you can get items from. I would have bought the KW V3s from IND to, but I had already bought on E Bay a few days before I chatted to Nate for the first time. The seats were also picked up from my local BMW dealer. This is as close as I think I can get to an M3 GTS while retaining some additional comfort, I Drive, I Pod player etc. Plus I don't like the huge wing. Maybe an Erricson Bootlid, its really growing on me. The car performs unbelievably well with the Akrapovic System The KW V3s were installed with the factory pre set compression and rebound settings. I lowered the pre-set height by 7,5mm front and 10mm rear and they are exactly the same left and right (something you cant get right with springs, and ends up irritating the shit out of me...OCD I know) I then had corner weights set up and got the weights virtually the same on all four corners within a variance of 5-10kgs. Ride is fantastic compared to H & R Sport Springs. The coil overs, don't bounce, and even with 20 inch wheels, they feel very comfortable, but firm at the same time.I will leave the comp and rebound settings for now. The Brembo BBKs are outstanding! Braking feels incredibly strong and stable. Pedal feel actually feels more planted and responsive than stock, plus they look bad ass as hell!! BMW Performance seats are great. HRE P40s are my favorite wheels for the M3 and Porsches for that matter. Lastly I removed the JL Motoring Carbon Splitter and Rear Diffuser. I painted the Boot Spoiler white to keep the car simple and clean, and also went back to white mirror covers, and removed the carbon covers. The roof is enough black/carbon on the car. Any way hope you all enjoy the pics. If anyone needs some help with any of these items, call Nate at IND or for opinions, ask me Last edited by Bob MG; 05-03-2010 at 12:32 AM.. |

Does your part.... make HP? Seats haven't sorted yet, they are ordering me the wiring harness from Germany, should be here in a few days. The KWs were also sent without the modules so KW USA are sending me those plus an apology! My dash is lit up like a Christmas tree restraint fault, airbag light, EDC light, but not for long. My friends at BMW here will re programme the seats etc and clear the fault lights same time. Stay well mate Here's some close ups... |

What a stunning M3. Everything's just perfect. Congratulations, hope mine turns out as well.
And I must comment on IND...I've never had the pleasure of buying anything from them (yet...uh oh....) but they've got the absolute greatest reputation for quality service and quality goods that I've ever experienced on an automotive forum site. The drive from Stoney Creek to Chicago is how far???????? I digress...again, you car's just beautiful |
